The LORD is a friend to those who fear him. He teaches them his covenant. My eyes are always on the LORD, for he rescues me from the traps of my enemies. Psalm 25:14,15 (New Living Translation)
It is an anomaly to truly fear the Lord and still be exasperated by other forms of fear.
When you fear God, He makes you his friend And that automatically makes you confident that he’s looking out for you.
The fear of the Lord girds you heart, so you do not fool around. Like Joseph in foreign Egypt and those four Hebrew youths in Babylon, you are conscious of the all-time presence of your friend – your God and will not willfully disobey His commands.
The fear of the Lord therefore becomes a defense for you, Even though you are not saved by works, Your actions show the world you belong to Him And He will defend the integrity of His word…
So you know that even if you get into a trap Your dear friend whom you fear (reverence, respect, hold in high awe), will pull your feet out.
