"If a man dies, will he live again? All the days of my struggle I will wait until my change comes. Job 14:14 (New American Standard Bible )
Job was exasperated
There was a brick wall around him
A brazen sky above and a rocky ground beneath
God was far....
In despair, he longed for some change -
The relief that death promised.
If he died, he may wake up on the other side.
Over there, everything must be alright.
So he would endure this suffering
Knowing that when he died, probably from the suffering, his torment would at last be over.
But oh! Job never knew it was just a test;
A test he was just about to pass.
At the other side of the test; not death, but a 700-fold harvest.
Child of God,
Your relief will come
But it would not be death.
In the land of the living you shall see the goodness of the Lord again.
You're closer to it now than when you had first hoped.
Just live one more day.
